Experience

In a world dominated by technical dabblers and firms that claim to be highly qualified in almost every field, Liberty Building Forensics Group® is different!

Liberty Building Forensics Group® is not a “do-anything” kind of firm. Our focus is laser sharp and our requisite skills are the best in the industry. We have concentrated on effectively solving moisture intrusion, mold problems; construction defects, building material failures, construction litigation support and cost recovery.

What this means to you is that our “true experts” are specialists who have concentrated for the past three decades and have probably solved your problem dozens of times before.

A few examples that prove our experience:

  • Walt Disney Corporation has retained Liberty’s staff since 1981 to assist them with their highly complex construction on over 400 worldwide projects: Walt Disney World, EuroDisney, Hong Kong DisneyLand, Disney’s Caribbean island (Castaway Cay), and Disneyland California. In fact, in 1991 Liberty’s staff wrote their “best practices” manual that is still used today by Disney’s designers and contractors. Only a firm that consistently exceeds expectations can serve as a consultant for almost 30 years for one of the world’s most sophisticated building owners on some of their most demanding projects around the globe.
  • Since 1990 Liberty’s staff has authored (or co-authored) 7 manuals on moisture/mold avoidance and remedial correction. The clients that have retained us to write these manuals include: the U.S. Navy, Walt Disney World, ASHRAE, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards/NCARB (the organization that trains registered architects worldwide). Over 50,000 of these manuals have been distributed worldwide.
  • Liberty’s staff have diagnosed and solved the most complex and demanding moisture and construction litigation problems in the country, including the $20MM Martin County Courthouse repair (1994), the $40MM Polk County Courthouse repair (1993), the $60MM Hilton Hawaiian Village repair (2002-2004), and the $20MM repair at the Atlantis Harborside complex in the Bahamas (2003). In all of these cases, the repairs were permanent and our clients recovered much of the costs.
  • Liberty’s staff has received nationally recognized awards for project performance (the “Commanding General’s Award” for outstanding performance at the Hale Koa Hotel, Hawaii) and 5 awards for outstanding technical publications. If meeting your project goals and clearly articulating your position is important to you then Liberty’s staff has demonstrated its skill.
  • If your problem involves moisture, mold, construction defects, Green design and construction risks, material failures, or construction litigation in buildings then Liberty’s staff has probably successfully solved it hundreds of times before.

Here is a partial list of examples of how Liberty Building Forensics Group’s requisite expertise has been used by some of the world’s highest profiled clients:
