July 31: Teleconference 2:00PM EST – “Hidden Risks of Green Buildings: Why Building Failures are Likely and How to Avoid Them”
During this teleconference Mr. DuBose and Mr. Odom will discuss the latest standard of care in the design and construction industry: green buildings. What elements of green buildings will impact risk for designers, contractors, developers, and owners? What specific LEED® credits are most likely to cause building failures? Hear case studies of past problems with green buildings and the lessons learned.

Mr. Odom, Mr. Scott, and Mr. DuBose will give a 1½ hour presentation: “The Hidden Risks of Green Buildings: Why Moisture & Mold Problems are Likely.” They will discuss what makes some green buildings risky and what steps must be taken to avoid failures, even possible lawsuits.

Mr. DuBose, Mr. Odom, and Mr. Scott are scheduled to be on the faculty of the Lorman Seminars: “The Hidden Risks of Green Buildings: Why Building Failures are Likely and How to Avoid Them in Florida.” Mr. DuBose and Mr. Scott will address LEED® practices in their presentation, “An Overview of Green Building Concepts and Why Moisture and Mold Problems are Likely.” “Preventing Green Building Failures in the Southeast – Specific Techniques to Implement” by Mr. DuBose and Mr. Odom will cover how to avoid problems while instituting LEED® design.
